I let him talk for as long as he wanted, because when do you think he gets the chance to sit down and talk to anyone like that? People dont even want to know he exsists, let alone talk to him. He was very insightful and had a good head on his shoulders. He talked a lot about the people of grand rapids (and acutlaly everywhere he's been, which is a lot of places) and how discriminating and judgemental people can be. It made me want to cry. I work with a lot of people who hate the homeless and refer to them as "bums", which i can't stand. People need to be a little more caring with other human beings, homeless or not. Even though there are homeless out there who aare no good, and do scam you and trick you into getting your money, that doesnt mean all homeless are bad. There are a lot of people who arent homeless who trick you and scam you to get your money (just turn on the TV). If a black guy robs a bank, does that mean all black guys rob banks? No. If a homeless guy asks you for a cigarette and you have a full pack, fucking GIVE HIM ONE. He has the same disgusting habit as you do. I ask people for cigarettes all the time, and just because I have a bed does that make you more apt to give me one? How does that make sense?<br /><br />If you have it, give it away. I dont care if they're homeless, we are ALL human beings. We have the same guts, and if we all strip down, we are all naked. Just because I have a home doesnt make me more of a person than someone who doesnt. And telling a homeless man to get a fucking job isnt saying much either. Fuck, I can't even get a job. no one can.
